my phone number wasn't working???? AND you checked the phone book??? the only think i can think of is if you didn't dial the area code first; to make local calls in toronto you still need to dial the area code because there's two for the city...i should have told you that, sorry, but i don't know if that would have been the problem because sounds like you figured that out, what with the radio contest and all...
it sucks i couldn't meet up with you guys...i ended up having a shitty weekend; my friends and i ducked out of the big wonderland thing because a) some guy was shot there a week ago b) it was forecasted (and indeed turned out) to be really cold and really rainy and c) (the deciding factor) the people who were supposed to be driving us were rumoured to be drinking heavily at the party beforehand...so yeah. and then we were gonna catch a movie later on but then for various reasons i ended up just sitting at home all evening, and thinking you'd forgotten about me :(
so THEN the next day sucked, but i was downtown in the afternoon and decided i'd drop in and see if i could find you guys in the line up. i probably ended up getting there the same time you did (don't worry, i too got lost, and i LIVE HERE!) but i figured since you had been planning on getting there really early you'd be at the very front so i went up there and i must say it is incredibly intimidating to walk through masses of people (and i'm sorry to say, chair fans aren't exactly the friendlist bunch) looking for three people based only on a photo i looked at briefly...so i asked some girl near the front if she happened to be jenna and she laughed at me and made some stupid remark about being on a blind date...and at that point i was so tired and had had such a bad few days that i just gave up and left (passing many scalpers on the way who i had vaguely considering taking up if the experience hadn't sucked so much) and went home.
ok, that was just supposed to be a little note by way of explanation it wasn't supposed to turn into the pity-fest it became...i'll go read the concert report and post something happier...
