I MET DALTON!!

Dalton MC-FUCKING-GUINTY! WOO! Actually, it was really funny. Derek (my Liberal guy, who I love - he's TOO frigging cool! And he's 27. And he's hot. And he knows who I am now, since I've worked with the Renfrew Liberal office for the past month and he's there a lot, and he helped organize the high school thing I was talking about before.) had a breakfast meeting for supporters a few days ago, and Dalton showed up! I guess it was planned, but no one knew about it - it was 7:30 and there's about 150 of us half-asleep over our coffees and BAM, in walks McGuinty. There I am, all dressed up and looking smart for the occasion - HELLO pantsuit! Not a cheesy-ball one, though. I bought it for, like, funerals and stuff, but I wore a bright blue button-down shirt underneath it instead of, like, white, and it has slightly flared legs and it's just cool... plus, I had the nose ring and the striped hair going on (did I mention my hair? It's now black with platinum blond streaks in it), so it was a weird mix of punk and office chic. LOL...

Anyways, I kind of embarrassed myself, but it was more funny than OHMYGAWD, y'know... later on in the morning I was talking to Derek, and he's like, "So, have you met Dalton yet?" and I say, "No, not yet, but I can't wait!" and then I go, all sarcastic-like, "Dalton's my HOMEBOY!". Then I hear this laughing behind me, and Derek starts laughing, so I turn around, and there's the man himself. I'm thinking, "Fuck... FUCK!!" but I managed to come out with the line, "Just expressing my ghetto-love for you, yo!" and he thought that was funny, too, so I'm not a total doofus. o_O So yeah, Derek introduced me (which was WICKED!), and he said I was a huge supporter and that he was so glad to have me on their side (aww... lol), and Dalton shakes my hand and said, "And so am I. Pleasure to meet you, Jenna. It's fantastic to see young people like you out here!" and I don't remember anything else he said, or I said, probably because the whole time I was thinking, "FUCKING Dalton McGuinty! WOO! FUCKING Dalton McGuinty!"

So yeah. WOO! Evil reptillian kitten-eater my arse. I love Dalton. :)

PS - Betcha no one but Melissa knows who Dalton is... Oooops. Yeah. So, provincial elections are tomorrow, so we get a new premier, which is like the head of the province or whatever, and Dalton McGuinty's the Liberal Party leader for Ontario, so he's one of the four options. The others are Ernie Eves, who's the current premier (he's Progressive Conservative), Howard Hampton, who's with the New Democratic Party, and ... uhhh... whatshisface, the guy from the Green Party (they're the party that wants to legalize pot and make breastfeeding mandatory and stuff. They're kind of crazy. o_O ). And guess what? My boy Dalton was 19 points ahead of Ernie in yesterday's polls! So it looks like we might win here!! WOO!!
