... Because *I* motherfucking MET Colin James tonight. I nearly had a stroke. Here was the conversation:

J: "Hey, Colin..."
C: "Hey sweetie, how're you?"
J: "I'm great, how're you?"
C: "Fantastic."
J: "Listen, could I bug you to sign my CD, possibly?"
C: "Yeah, no problem... what's your name?"
J: "Jenna."
C: "Gorgeous name. Suits you." (Not making this shit up.)
J: "Oh... well... *blushes and tries not to jump him*"
C: *hands the CD back* "There ya go, doll."
J: "Thanks! You were fantastic tonight, by the way."
C: *looks at me all surprised-like and genuine* "Really? Thank you!"

And then I shook his hand and he leaned in and kissed me on the cheek and he said bye and left and I stood there all shocked and shaky for a while.

I swear... nicest guy ever. Genuine is the perfect word for him. It was like he actually valued my opinion.

Anyways, I was also front-row center during the show. He's amazing live. And hot. God DAMN. I hate his wife so much right now.

And then we totally blew off Bryan Adams, who was playing, and went to the bar and I drank 4 Alexander Keith's on an empty stomach and then went home and here I am. Rather drunk and extraordinarily happy.

I'll scan the CD tomorrow and post it. I asked him to sign my copy of the second Little Big Band album, not because it's my favourite (National Steel is), but it's so unique and not many people have it, and it's my new baby.

WOOOOOOOOO x a billion and two. And Blue Rodeo's on for Friday still. I love this week soooo much.
