When was it always "OK" for girls to watch boys have procedures done to them and not OK for boys to watch girls have these same things done? My brother and I were given enemas and rectal temps with girls and ladies watching, but never did we get to see a girl have this done to them. In the event a girl cousin was going to get an enema and we were at my aunts house, we would shushed out of the room and told to go outside or go watch TV. On the other hand, the same girls were allowed to watch us have the exact same procedure done! If that is not a double standard I don't know what is!

The reality is, males and females are NOT equal and never will be. This is why when a female teacher gets in trouble for having sex with a male student she gets a light sentence while the guy would go to jail for 10 years....I think it is a proper assumption that women are generally the weaker of the two genders which explains why its more accepted for a female to cry then a male....
While everyone watched when I was held down for a shot, I NEVER would have been allowed to see any of the females in my family get a shot....

you are right very often about the double standard for boys and girls receiving shots or enemas with an audience of the opposite gender but it was not always true even in the past if you have read all the previous posts, it was depending on families customs.
in my opinion, it is also a question of age, if you were a little boy, it was not too much embarrassing, just a little, but as soon as you were older, it became certainly more embarrassing to be seen by female cousins who were not still adults. I don't know when it stopped for you to have an audience of females wayching you?

a question to "Frank" who said that he was exposed to nurses for shots or rectal temperature in open places when he did his military service in the last 50's.
was it in an hospital or the nursery of a barrack?
in front od whom was he exposed? his fellows young men doing as him their military service or somebody else?
