Subject: I haven't bee that excited since Buffy! BSG was amazing

EXODUS part II rocked! I'm still shivering...

I loved everything, even the predictable stuff that was still moving while being expected!

Everybody could guess that Lee would come and save the day, yet when the Pegasus showed up it was magic !
We knew that Gaeta wouldn't kill Baltar, yet the confrontation was thrilling. And now Gaius is really a paria.

Even Kara stabbing Leoben wasn't a surprise but the tension in the scene was perfect. BTW it reminded me of another Sci-Fi series, "V", when one of the young female character who had been knocked up by a "lezard" killed him in front of their hybrid daughter. Except that it was BSG with a better writing and that Kacey turned out to be someone else's daughter in the end! It was a great final twist (and what a wonderful parallel to Hera's story !)and Kara's feeling of loss was so palpable in the end. It was like she had been taken her ovaries again. Kara and Saul looked so alone, completely out of step with the rejoicing.
I felt for her and for Saul.

So now there's an interesting connection between Kara and Sharon, both have lost her babies to a big lie (it doesn't matter that Kacey wasn't really Kara's baby because Kara was ready and willing to believe so, she considered Kacey her daughter). One because of a Cylon, the other one because of a human.

D'Anna gives me the creeps, and I can't wait to see Sharon confronting the humans with their original lies about Hera, especially now that Roslin and her asssitant do believe that the baby is dead!

I loved the way everything was filmed on new Caprica and I loved the space fights too, especially the Galactica falling in the sky of new Caprica like a comet before bouncing away. Powerful picture! Adama was like Zeus then, bringing on thunder and lightning. And I loved that it's the Pegasus that actually "fell" for good in the end, in a huge holocaust.

And I loved that Adama got rid of that bloody moustache at last!

But above all, I loved Ellen's death. It was perfectly done, a pure moment of tragedy worthy of the best plays. Very touching and romantic. And it made sense that Saul had to murder her by making her drink poison. After all the previous seasons made it clear that his alcoolism was connected to Ellen. But she turned out more interesting than I thought at the end of the day. Who would have thought that she did love her husband, back when we first saw her? Saul's affections towards her seemed so foolish then, she didn't seem to deserve it at all indeed. Season 3 changed that a bit IMO. Suddenly Saul's weakness looked more understandable and it made her end all of more tragic. It was a graceful exit.

I love that show!

Tigh and Ellen's scene was a brilliant piece of work.
Made me tear up a bit, it did.
