Rabbi: ‘Holy Land, not Homo Land’

The international gay pride parade is set to take place in Jerusalem next month, much to the ire of groups that had, up until now, little to unite them.

Orthodox Jews, Moslems and Christians have banded together to try to prevent this convergence of gays and lesbians from all over the world for a week of activities in Israel’s capital.

Believers in Jerusalem have held several citywide prayer meetings regarding the parade, while rabbis and Moslem sheikhs held a mutual news conference decrying the event, including Levin and Arab party Knesset Member Ibrahim Sarsur. At least 45 parliament members signed a petition against the parade.

“This is the holy land, not the homo land,” Rabbi Yehuda Levin, a moral activist from America, who came to Israel to stir a charge against the parade, told Israel Today. “The militants are as dangerous as Hamas. And they’re every bit as dangerous as Nazis to religious people.”

But the city is bound by a Supreme Court ruling and has no apparent out. Levin blames liberal politicians and secular Jews, such as Prime Minister Ehud Olmert whose daughter is a professed lesbian, for allowing the parade to go forward.

The sin of homosexuality could cost Israel its land, Levin said. The Bible instructs the Israelites to not emulate the acts of the Canaanites and the Egyptians, which includes homosexuality according to the rabbis, lest they lose the land.

Noa Sattath, chairperson of Jerusalem Open House, the organizers of the event, countered Levin’s argument.

“The sin that caused the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah was that the stranger was rejected,” she said. “I would hope that Israel doesn’t make that same mistake again.”

Sattath insisted that the parade and the week of activities was not designed to be provocative and will also be mindful of the religious sensitivities of the city, toning down its sexuality and planning nothing in or near religious neighborhoods.

Jerusalem has already hosted local gay parades for the last three years with about 10,000 attendees each time. This event is international, however, and the numbers could be significantly higher.

This sin has not and will not be approved by God. This is the worst time that this could happen. While Israel''s enemies are at our front and back door, Israel opens up it''s doors to the worse enemy of all...satan. God have mercy on us.

2 . the "Pride"
This anti-discrimination-campaign of the Gay Parades is a problem worldwide. The result is that we - the normal heterosexual peopele - are getting discriminated by forbidding us to stand up against this destructive sickness. Such a parade will take place here in Riga (Latvia) in a few days and all Christians are standing up against it. Thanks God and may He bless everyone who dares to fight for the Truth!

Maybe the stage will be set for G-d to pour His Holy Wrath out against the Sodomites. They are tempting G-d by flaunting their sin in G-d''s face in HIS HOLY CITY, during a time of war, even. Has anyone asked the question why, of all the places in the world. they have chosen Jerusalem for their parade? The reason is of all the whole world God chose Jerusalem for himself. A place where He said He would put His Name.
God did not distroy Sodom because the people were committing the sin of Sodomy, if He did He would distroy all of us as we are all sinners in one way or another. He distroyed Sodom because they were proud of their sin, not ashamed of it. Therefore I think it quite appropriate that they have named themselves "Gay Pride." My heart is broken for all those who will participate in this abomination. They are pawns of Satan blinded by their lustful sin and pride. I once lived this lifestyle and know that God can, does and will save anyone who desires it out of Homosexuality. A homosexual will tell you that they don''t have any choice in the matter as they were born that way. Love the sinner, but hate the sin. These in-your-face Canaanitish revelries were practiced not in the streets, where stoning would be the just result, but in the secretive high places away from the righteous. The answer lies in next weeks Torah parshat namely "Phinehas", who G_D made a covenant of peace with, because of his zealous act. Are we allowing this type of sin to take place in Jerusalem (the door of the tabernacle)? And then let them flaunt their acts in the face of HIS people...let alone G_D???

Jerusalem is no holier or sacred than any other place in the universe. Homosexuals are no less significant to God than heterosexuals. They are born that way so what they need love and affection too. Or sending human bombs in public places, because the Hamas followers and other fous de Dieu and marturs from any religion are not better.

And perhaps as many commentors on sites such as these Israeli (pseudoIsraeli?) newsites are American, many are European (seems like eastern European) and the better part appear to be Israeli.

And as I say... that is my point that they don't flinch when people are killed (save perhaps those on there own side) and often cheer on the killing of their foes.
