Subject: brotha can you spare a dime?

So i just got laid off today (actually knew I would be last week). Severance, savings, and health will carry into January, but I need to find work. Now.

So if you know anyone looking for a VB/Access programmer, a quantitative analyst, or a consultant, please let me know over IM or e-mail. Pretty much any location is OK, except the South (and I'm not too crazy about the Midwest, either). Bonus if it isn't actually in a huge city that makes it a pain to get to.

I'm primarily looking CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, PA, NJ, NY, CA, and WA, and especially in coastal areas (the less hot and humid weather, the better - San Francisco would be perfect.)

Gotta be about 45-50K/yr and up, unless it's really rural and cheap. Anything less and I'll just be losing money, just more slowly, but it's not really a solution. There's an entry in my Diaryland journal detailing where all that money goes and why the number is that high (but with a Master's degree and six years' experience working, it's quite reasonable as far as I'm concerned)...
