Blinders are for horses. They make it hard for them to see the whole picture. They use them to keep the horse in line when seeing the whole world might make them hard to control.

wow, i like that...focusing on the task at hand and not getting sidetracked by what's going on around you!!! you could call it blind focus. or, keep your donkey on the straight and narrow and you will reach your dsstination...giddyup!
