-*Leaping up from her chair, and dropping the needlework in surprise, she cast an eye over to the child that was stirring away. ‘Shhhh…hush, go back to sleep my Nyneve.’ Hurrying to the door before louder knocks could wake her child, she flung open the door to find a unfamiliar face confronting her. Glaring at her guards, she spat out rather harshly at them, ‘And I suppose you let just anyone barge into the castle at these hours of the night? I thought I’d told you that only in emergencies was I to be disturbed. And I can hardly see how she’s in any danger- she got here didn’t she? Now, take her to the kitchens and fetch her something to eat- then take her to the tower and let her bunk there. I’ll tend to whatever tends tending in the morning. But as for now, my family is trying to sleep. Her human form was beautiful, even with the dangerous glare in her eyes. She confronted not the maiden, but the knights unsure of how to address the female. ‘Might I ask why you’ve come?’ she added, softer then she had spoken before. ‘All seems quiet and well. Am I being betrayed by nature herself, my lady?’*-
