Darken Forest

The forest closes in about you, obscuring all sight of the road, casting an eerie glow about the ground. Sunlight filters through the leaves but briefly, making concise patterns on the forest loam before being obscured completely. On the edge of the forest a fair amount of light is visible, but once the interior is pierced, it becomes a vertible tangle of limbs and leaves, with only a few ill-worn game trails leading towards freedom.

She bows her head for a moment, and then concentrates very hard on the spot, and a large ball of flame eats into the earth, creating a hole. A little while after she buried Aineen, she burns the body of the Black Creature to nothing but ashes.*

She returns to the forest, her figure melting into the shadows. Her dark red hair flares against the greenery, and her eyes seem to glow. Her movement is silent, like a cougar. Seeing Eldorf, she approaches, blushing horribly as she remembers how her sister had treated him. Waiting for a pause in the conversation, she touches Eldorf's shoulder softly. "Sir, my name is Summer, the sister of Winter, you met her back in the Tavern. I came to apologize for her actions to you. She was a perfect beast to you, and has shamed me dreadfully. She has been spoiled, and should have had some sense slapped into that silly head of hers, but alas, fortune and glory have ruined her. She is proud, spoiled, and stupid, sometimes. I hope the rude way in which she had acted to you will not ruin any comradeship we might obtain in the future?" She winces *Sheesh, so much for flowery language!* she thinks, mentally kicking herself. Quickly she adds, "I'd like to be friends, if you don't mind."

Ming entered the forest in curiousity her almond eyes watchful of her surroundings. The rustling of the trees are heard in her ears as well as the converstation of others amongst the forests trees. Hearing of an attack on a couple in this forest led her here in search of what the attacker could of been or is....

Panic -- Bran and Aineen, 16:29:08 01/16/02 Wed
Two humans run through the wood, fatigue and panic both evident in their eyes. Their hands clutch desperately together. A man has taken the lead, half dragging his lover through the woods. A creature of black is chasing them swiftly and almost caught up with them. Thew woman lets loose an ear splitting scream as she falls to the ground, having tripped over a rock. The mans grip on her falls away and he turns back, desperate to reach her. He pulls a bow from his back and an arrow and fires it swiftly at the creature. The beast slows and screams terribly. The man runs back to his lost lover and grabs her, only to discover her leg is broken. She screams in pain as she tries to get up and sinks back to the forest floor. The creature, now enraged by the arrow, runs swiftly to the man and the woman. The man looks up in shock and scrambles back away from the creature, his light green eyes filled with horror. He looks back at the fallen woman as she screams in mortal pain and watches as the beast rips apart his one true love.

The man runs back, but the woman, barely holding on to life by a bare string, throws her hand up at him. "No Bran!" She cries out, tears streaming down her face. "You must escape, you must live! Please, for me, live." The woman screams again as the creature bites off her broken leg. Bran cries out but backs away, knowing that he would rather die than not doing as his love says . He turns around, running in a stagger away from the creature. He feebly blocks out the noises of screams and runs away.

Bran runs through the forest, tears of pain, both physically and mentally, streaming down his face. He mutters over and over to himself the name of his lost lover. 'Aineen.' He hears a roar behind him and knows that the creature will pursue him, only for revenge of the arrow. Bran speeds up his pace, gasping desperately for air.

Bran stops, lack of energy and air leaving him drained and empty. He falls to the ground and fights blackness with all his will. He sees the creature burst towards him and grabs desperately for his bow and arrows. Instinct had taken over completely and he had no time to mourn. He looses an arrow but misses the beast horribly. He sobs dryly and fires again and again, occasionally hitting the creature. Finally, he runs out of arrows and cries out. He turns on his stomach and crawls desperately for the road. The creature hisses in triumph and slashes at him with bloodstained claws. The vicious weapons slice into his back. He cries out in pain but continues crawling. Finally, he reaches the road, where he knows and hopes that he will be safe...

She walks in, and sits down on a log. She felt free here, she loved the forest. She soon falls asleep, but awakens again a few hours later. It is night. She grips the sword handle at her side, searching the blackness for a sign of hostility. Despite her calm appearance, she is terrified. She does not call out, a distress call could attract a predator. She sees Aspasia's fire in the distance, and gets up, running to it. She stops a few yards away from the ring of fire, using it's light for her safety. She sits down near a boulder, and watches the shadows circling the fire. She wonders what they want from the girl.
