^^smiles and gets the mare out^^ Hey girlie girl!! ^^smiles and pats the mare. she quickly cleans the mare, and tacks her up in a western saddle, borrowed by Cookie, then bridles, and gets on^^ Cookie said that you sometimes get alittle outta control, so I've got spurs on...I just wanted to let yah know. ^^smiles^^ Now let's go nice and slow first. ^^they walk around^^ Oooh! You've got a smooth gait!! Feels like i'm floatin' in air!! ^^laughs^^ Jog! ^^clucks^^
[mare just stands still]
I said jog missie!! ^^kicks and clucks^^
[throws her head up in the air and continues walking]
You naughty girl!! ^^gets the end of her rein and slaps her neck, but not hard enough to hurt her^^
[mare jumps forward into the jog]
Now that's a good girl.
[walks]
^^clucks and kicks hard with her heels^^
[begins to jog again]
^^continues to keep her leg on the mare, but slows her down^^
[nudges her nose down, and goes into a slow jog]
There we go...^^they do circles, and go over some trot poles^^ Now, let's see your lope! ^^kisses, and squeezes with her legs^^
[jogs faster]
Walk!
[walks]
We're going to try this again. I'm going to use my spurs now. ^^puts them on^^ I had them in my pocket first...to see how you were. ^^Smiles and asks for the lope^^
[sprints forward]
^^flys forward and holds onto the mare's mane for a few minutes, then pulls her slower^^
[doesn't slow down, but continues at the lope]
Wow. Speedie!!! ^^makes small tight circles and jiggles the mare's nose down hard^^
[puts her nose down, as she bites on her bit and slows down. she begins to jog again, at a fast pace]
^^kicks with her spurs^^
[goes into a speedy but smooth lope]
Walk! ^^sits back^^
[walks]
We're going to have to work on your lope quite a bit!! ^^laughs and pets the mare^^ Good work. It's just because they haven't ridden you in awhile huh girl? Poor girl. ^^smiles and pats the mare again^^ Let's work on your transitions from the jog to the walk and from the walk to the jog alittle more.
