I suggest faxing this document to Robert Coleman and Ruth Tucker. Does anyone know how to reach them? Of course, it's only one side of the story, but I'm sure they'd be happy to contact Samuel Lee to find out what he has to say about this.

I don't know about FAX numbers, but here are their phone numbers off the Trinity we b site:

Robert Coleman: (847) 317-8132
Ruth Tucker: (847) 317-8045

By the way, does anyone find it strange that they've defen ded UBF in the past, in spite of all the media attention it's received in Chicago?

I found and email address for Robert Coleman. I don't know if he uses it:

ioe@wheaton.edu

I could not find one for Ruth Tucker. They are both experts on cults. Concerning being deceived by Samuel Lee. He is quite a charmer when he has to be. I think most of the good relationships were made by students from Chicago UBF who attended the seminary. Plus, at first glance UBF seems really great. It is only after you have been in it for a while that you see what's going on. So, I think they could be easily fooled by the window dressing and wanted to give us the benefit of the doubt.

The 1976 letter talks about how Samuel Lee would make nice with religious leaders. Generous contributions often do the trick. The last time Ruth Tucker spoke at the Center she was selling her books in the basement afterwards. I wonder what Jesus would have done if he had seen that.

I just found the following URL, which is a letter to Ruth Tucker. It seems she's friendly with more than one cult-like group.

Subject: What I faxed them

I faxed the letter to both of them at the fax number for the Evangelical Divinity School (847.317.8097). The following was my cover letter message:
Dr. (fill in the blank), you are no doubt familiar with the University Bible Fellowship which has its world headquarters in Chicago. There is currently a world-wide effort to reform UBF. This is the third such attempt to reform UBF since 1976, and the issues have not changed. The issues still center on the absolute power held by the UBF leader, Samuel Lee, and the corruption caused by that absolute power. Attached is a 1976 open letter written by UBF reformers to Samuel Lee, translated from Korean. We hope that the letter gives you some perspective on the nature of the Chicago UBF leader with whom, I believe, you have had friendly relations in the past. The letter is taken from the official USA UBF Reform web site: http://www.reformubf.org/registered. Another web site dedicated to those who have been abused by the Chicago UBF leadership is:
