Anti-Reformers say that Reformers are full of anger and bitterness and say nothing good or constructive about UBF. However, I say that it is not just Reformers but rather a ground swell of people who are pouring forth long pent-pent up concerns and outrages. Many, not just reformers are freely speaking their minds. And it is not all just negative, rather there are many constructive and positive points, which is why it is a Reform movement. Anti-Reformers will focus on the negative aspects because it is easier to object to that rather than the objective, constructive, and realistic criticisms that are offered as in the Reform declarations.

Well, let's put away our emotions, outrage, anger and personal feelings. Let's attempt to discuss things in a rational and enlightened way. Let's discuss one question without making personal attacks or appealing to emotion and see if we can come to a consensus. Let's keep the discussion purely theoretical without even mentioning UBF or "you know who." Let's
make the basis for discussion the Bible, Church history and the writings of modern evangelical Christian leaders. This seems entirely reasonable to me.

Here is my question:

On the basis of the Bible, Church history, and modern Christian leaders' writings, what is the proper response of a christian when they find out that their leader has possibly comitted serious sin?

I will even give the anti-reformers the first shot at researching and answering this question. Let's see if we can get somewhere with this. Let's leave it to anti-reformers to make their best arguments first. Then we can respond. Remember, no spewing, venting or being angry, just prayerful and Biblical reason.

Also, let's do this in a semi-scholarly way. You must support your points with references. If you site history or a Christian leader, then you must use a bibliographical reference. I ask Tom that any posts with personal remarks or unsupported, un-referenced claims be removed.
