I have some questions for you...

Why hasn't my dad responded yet? Why hasn't he tried to protect who he is? Why hasn't he tried to contact his only son besides a few times when I was born? Why did he leave me hanging this Easter?

Do you know my Easter story?

Late in 1999, I believed I was mature enough to meet a father whom I have never met. Through a bunch of connections, a pastor friend of mine called and talked to his wife. Subsequent callings never went through so my pastor friend left messages. My father never got back to me or my friend.

What did happen was my pastor friend and I eventually was asked to be met by my father's sister-in-law and her husband, a elder in Naperville at their ice cream store. We met and talked for about an hour and then drove back up to the Chicago area.

Later that year, they contacted me and asked to meet me at a local restaurant in my town. We talked about a lot of things as we were still getting to know each other. At the end of our lunch
meeting, they told me that my father had a business trip to Chicago around Easter and would contact me about arranging a meeting.

As you can imagine, I was ecstatic! I was finally getting to meet my father, see his face, hear his voice, get to know him. I wondered for a long time about our eventual meeting. I was thinking about how I would meet him, how many tears would be shed, what he would be like.

Then came Easter. Not a single word or call came from my father or his sister-in-law's family. Not a single reason why he didn't show up. It's been about a year since I met with the Naperville elder and his wife. Not a single word.

Another set of questions for you. Do you think I'm going to believe the word of a man who was never there for me? Is his word going to be another lie? Is what he says going to true, when it will contradict the supposed "lies" I've heard from my mother, Jimmy Rhee, Daniel Shin and others?

Is there a conspiracy against me by my mother, Jimmy Rhee and all the
other reformers, to make me think that they are good and my father's bad? NO!

I love my father. I will love my father. He gave me life. All the politics about UBF will not be present if I ever meet him. It will be the first time I meet him, and hopefully it will be pleasant.

If my father is reading this, I don't know what kind of pains you've been through but I can imagine being seperated from one you're supposed to love. You may have other issues and such, and I pray that you will be healed. My mother says that she has forgiven you for all you did to her and she asks for YOUR forgiveness for whatever she has done.

Daniel Hong, I don't know you and I have nothing against you. I truly hope I will meet you one day so you can truly understand the pain I've been through. Maybe if you met my mother and I face to face, you will ask for forgiveness, not from us, but from the Lord. May God bless your soul.

Dear Dr. Daniel Hong,

I write this because it is the only way I can reach you. I hope you may take this message though you said it was your last visit to this site.

I remember you as one of those I could be truly proud of in UBF. You were bold and truly free even from Samuel Lee. That's why I am so much dismayed to see you now having your sight so much clouded with one-side stories.

I don't agree with all on this website, but I try to feel the pains, wounds, and even much angers of people. Can't you feel them even when you may not agree with all of their stories? What do you feel when you read Joseph's response? They are real! Jesus came to bind up the broken-hearted. Cann't we have such spirit of humility to understand and feel such pains? Should we just say it's your problem and we are clean? It's time to bring healing.

Your apology message added more poisonous stuff to the original. Do you believe Joseph's mother has told him all the lies about his father? Shouldn't she have
tried to discourage his son not to meet his Dad if she did? What would you say if you knew that it was his Mom that encouraged him to see his Dad and hear the other side of the story from him? She is not afraid of it. She is ready to ask for forgiveness and to forgive. Off course, we told him about his violent acts, but we also told him that he was also a victim of Samuel Lee.

I don't want to talk about such private matter on this open forum. I have much to say about Mr. Park and I want to meet him. I really wished him to call me after he had been violently kicked out.

I don't defend reformers. I am not on their bus either. I have been silent 10 years not to defend myself against all the false accusations publicly spoken by UBF. But this time, seeing so much pains, wounds, and hurts, I realized that silence would not do any good. I hope you may truly feel free from being a defender of UBF. You may think it is to defend the truth and the gospel. Do you know the truth doesn't need its defender?
What if the Lord Himself is the one who has stood up to expose the darkness? Can you stop it? I am afraid that you may be found as standing against him. His move always sweeps away everything. So just wait and see whether it is from the Lord or not?

I wish I could contact you and exchange more of the other-side stories more privately. From the beginning I have not used any anonymous names. So you don't have to be afraid of any unwanted mails to you.

I just pray that your keen insight and right judgement be restored to see the under-current of the stories, not just their angry, bitter responses.

Thank you apologizing for your rather childish and immature behavior, Dr. Hong. We'll have to see if you never visit this site again. I'm glad to hear that it's not just me who's trying to counter the tight control of information in UBF-USA about the reform effort. I've even heard that 2nd gens in Chicago are passing around the URL's to each other. Are they going to be sued? As for factual statements, you haven't made a single one yet, Dr. Hong. All you've provided are vicious rumors consistent with the UBF habit of issuing vicious rumors.

Besides which, Dr. Hong, you're avoiding the main issues like so many Samuel Lee loyalists. The issues are that Samuel Lee ordered a helpless woman to get an abortion and that Samuel Lee cut off Jackie Lee from her family. Why Jackie Lee left UBF is not the issue.

Listen you rebels, I am thankful that Dr. Hong has showed through his posts just how honorable, righteous, and intelligent he is. I want you to know that his postings here are typical of what our UBF leaders are capable of. So, you best be warned.

I also want to applaud Dr. Hong's faithfulness to Dr. Samuel Lee, Ph.D, D.Litt. Not many people have spoken up for Dr. Lee, but he has. Dr. Hong and all the faithful American UBF leadership would do ANYTHING for Dr. Samuel, and that shows just where their loyalties lie. They are much better people than you troublemakers who quibble about the incidentals of Church government and a few mistakes here and there. You have to look at the BIG picture. And that is that Dr. Samuel has been appointed to lead American and the World back to the right path. Isn't it obvious? And as for those whinners....well if you are going to bake a cake you must expect a few broken eggs. You can't blame him for trying.

Well, let me finish by saying that Dr. Daniel
and all those other Drs. aren't going to let you get the best of Dr. Lee. They will stop at nothing to protect him, so you best give up and not try any funny business or you will get more of what Dr. Hong gave you yesterday! You just may as well quit right now because they are faithful to Dr. Lee and stuck on him like ants to honey. We should all imitate their example.

Well, finally I thank and praise Dr. Hong for he has done more for our cause than I can possibly express. Anyway, he beats the stuffing out of you so called reformers with all your wild, corrupt, and blasphemous notions! And he is just the beginning. He will show just what stuff UBF men are made of.
