Combat Ring
You walk up a long flight of stones steps. Breathing hard, you reach the top and look down into the amphitheater. It's just like ancient Rome was. There are exotic beasts to fight (including many Grysh), other people who wish to battle, and thousands of cheering spectators. You jump as a hand grips your shoulder and spins you again. It's Aani again. She's decked out in brilliant silver armor, and her design -a silver cat inside a blue sun- is emblazoned on her cloak. She grins and points you to a room where you can grab weapons and armor. "Go there, then head to the main Ring. Remember... you can't get killed." At your confused look, she simply laughs and heads off. Magic in this place does not prevent wounds, but does prevent death.
