.:.Sunlight caught in the hair of the traveling maiden. Hair that was white and silky like that of a unicorn. It hung in ringlets half way down her back. For in truth, she was half unicorn. It was a long tale to tell.

Clothing was a gown that was too torn, aged, and stained to know the true color it was or is now. A faded brown cloak of wool was wrapped around the maiden as she entered the land at a slow pace. And shreds of cloth were wrapped around her bare feet, but it didn't stop them from bleeding.

No wings, no magic... she entered the fairy land but was not one of them.

But the strangest thing of all was her umbilical region, which was rather large and round. The maiden collapsed to her knees beneath an twisted willow tree. Her breath was short and rapid as she sat there. Five months she has carried this precious burden.

Her husband was no more. Her parents, also long gone. Alone, she carries this burden and seeks a haven to rest in for she is weary.
