Nighttime shadows cast upon my wall
I get out of bed and walk down the hall.
For this night is the night we 1st met,
One year ago my eyes upon you set.
But you broke up with me yesterday
Just cut it off, without a word to say.
It would be a lie to say I'm not scarred
It wouldn't be a lie to say life without you is hard
I look in the mirror wondering what I did
Is it what I didn't do? mabey it's something I hid.
Pressed for sleep I give in to the sandman
Remembering when I used to hold your hand.
It's all gone now, it will never be the same
As I close my ideas and put my thoughts to shame.
