My love knows not my love and is so blind,
He sees not my love nor aching mind.
My love is keen; his strength like bears.
But stronger is his ignorence to my tears.

His gaze turns elsewhere and he sees me not.
With pain and sadness my poor heart is shot.

So shadow-like, i wait and watch and pray
With everlasting hope, my words must find a way
To change his heart and bring his gaze around,
To show him that in me true love is found...
