 Writing is admitting
In admittance we are free
Free's as good as prison
For all it does for me
Given basic rights
Distributed like wine
Only for the wealthy
Healthily they dine
We feel no remorse
Just an odd sense of relief
Felt till we no longer say
"Glad it wasn't me"
Then with tables turned
We look to prior ties
Who, instead of offering hope
Quickly avert their eyes
With the understanding
That no ones ever free
On the other side we realize
It always has been me
