time is up.... what would you do??? well, as you said yourself, most of what is in the room could be used as a weapon, even on a spur of the moment.

obviously, the swords on the wall; you can throw the armor; kick a bench into his path to trip him; break any of the mirrors for a batch of razor shards, same with the pottery; you can throw the paper weights at him; throw ANY of the chemicals at his eyes to blind him (then if you are near the door you can throw the oul lamp at him to set him aflame); use the nails holding the weapons to the walls; seperate yourself from him by going around the table; that carved horse could crack a man's skull.....

.... so in addition to learning magic, it would also be a good idea to teach you combative fighting skills. you never know- there are always inconvenient places that are shielded from magic, and anything can become a possible weapon if you are creative.

i have seen a horde of farmers take down seasoned troops with nothing but their old underwear! its just a matter of using what you have.....
