I moved my dappled frame through the trees. They were beginning to change colors now; they marveled me, their leaves fluttering to my feet in all sorts of colors. Reds, oranges, and yellows of sorts, what a beautiful time of year. I stopped momentarily to watch a golden leaf float lazily to the sodden floor beneath me; I continued to watch it a moment longer wondering how it must be to be a leaf. I was certainly glad I was not a leaf, for their life span was to short, and there was so much to see and experience, and I wanted to see it all. When I lost interest in the simple leaf I continued onwards, trekking towards herdless at an easy rate. The next thing to catch my attention was a bird of some sort, it hovered and swooped and I laughed slightly, it seemed to be quite merry up there, basking in the sun. What a silly bird, I thought to myself as I pushed onwards. I continued to walk for what seemed like a long time, although I’m sure it wasn’t that long, because the fluffy white clouds had shifted very little. I stopped along the edge of a pond, my reflection rippled within its depths. I sighed slightly and looked about before taking a long drink, as I finished I pulled away my gray mug, dew drops still clung to my mossy hide. I blinked occasionally as the sun hung brightly in the sky, I moved towards the shade, basking in its soft glow and taking the cool air in with delight. I had heard my sister sweet call and I came forth, dancing in a small trot like fashion. "You called dearest?" She said with a silly grin.

[How come every sentence is in first person but the last is not?]

Her noble skull turned and dark ooids take in the sight of her sister. Kita's silly grin was answered with a small smile, caressing her golden face. "Good evening, Kita." The female's mug extended forth and nuzzled her sister's cheek. "Yes, I called because I wish to bade you farewell." She added softly; moonlight trembled in her mane as she moved back a step into shadow. Her heart ached to stay but this was not her place. "It is time I returned to my father. I have been gone too long all ready. Your land is thriving more than mine. I can't let it fade away. I will miss you. I promise to visit often as I can. Perhaps I can call Dreamfire one of these days and we can come visit you together." Another nuzzle was made upon her sister's cheek. "I won't be far. If you need me then seek me out in the Crystalline Thicket." Flame's proud skull dipped slightly as a sign of parting. Her motions were fluid and flawless as she turned away and started to depart. But she halted and looked back. "I love you sis. Remember our secrets in the Secluded Glen? Mine was 'you're the best sister ever'. I still hold that as the truth. Farewell" The female's light steps morphed into effortless strides. She was eager to greet her father, Truelies, again. Soon her slender, copper form was just a shadow in the night... then was gone.
