In reply to: Dark Illusion 's message, "...fading fast from pity..." on 13:51:32 05/18/04 Tue

((change text colour! lol ... can't seee...))

Vulcan stares at the mare, eyes widening in shocked pain at her words. He snorts, the thundering noise loud in the silence as he stares at her. One great hoof is lifted and slammed into the ground, creating a minor earthquake. He steps back and tosses his head.

Pitiful! Pitiful indeed. And lowly, with hearts
torn cry that brings the tallest to cold earth
and the basest to the same, biting earth with grim
hope that tomorrow will be better, but bitter
is the only answer that comes.
Love's lost, but love was never held,
so false is loves hope and loves loyalty
that most natural seems to be to even rats
and lizards, sheep and dogs and ever on but never given to I ... hah!

He turns away, stepping with one quick movement onto the air above the grass.

She watches him intently stepping to the right and walking towards him off to the side, keeping her eyes transfixed upon his. Her tone was still rough, but it held truth, and her words softened some, this time offering a tad bit of comfort.

It is all in how you look at it Vulcan... you can look at life as a damned cause and fall to your own pity, or you can keep reaching for the stars, and never give up. Just keep your goal in sight and love will come, someday it will, you just have to wait, thats all and quiet acting like a pouting child. Pitying yourself doesn't help, you just keep looking at all the negative and you get so focused on your lost you can never recongnize a gain... I'm not lecturing you, just trying to offer some help, as cruel and downright wrong it may seem it's the truth, and sometimes the truth can be painful.

She continues to watch him closely, not even noticing he'd decided to hover above the ground. He could take what she'd said and blame her for hurting him or he could put some of her advice to use and maybe start looking ahead instead of behind.

Why don't you take a stroll with me. Vulcan I care about your state of mind, thats what friends are for, not that we've really ever had anything but small talk, but I still care. I suggest you take my offer, it will only come once. I can't change how you feel or fix your problems, all I can do is make you realize you have to do that yourself. No one else can help you but yourself and you can start right now by coming down and taking a walk with me.

Oh she felt so elderly at the moment, helping someone much more wiser and experienced than her. But then again, I guess we all need someone to set us straight sometimes don't we?

(Occ: Eeek, my font is horrible, I fixed it, soooo sorry my friend)

He closes his eyes, still for a second, before convulsions shake the huge span of his chest. Some greater upset? No ... the stallion laughs, bitterly but fully, tossing his head to look back over his shoulder at the uppity mare. When he speaks his voice is louder, still in the sing-song parlance of before.

What do you know, mortal, of the lifes span bleed
of my pain? I flail in pain, I thrash hard and feel it
blacken down my very core but still I struggle onward.
My sky is gone, dark, black, blacker, blackest...
What great sinner I, to feel such as this? No love
do I seek, that I may chase some harlots scent
To spawn more foals - Fie!

Foals and heartbreak, heartbreak and foals
Side by side they dog me, one for one, for another
You drip blind syrup, my ill thought adviser
My love and my cares just this day
held your life in his maw
in snarling defence of my self and my soul
No, I found what I sought - and it begger me.

Leave me ... speak not of healing when today
fresh hewn, my wounds cry gaping gore and bitter loss
of illusion, if not heart and soul of my love
and illusion of love, and sires fond folly.

Leave me!

He huffs, swinging his head away violently and beginning to stroll slowly away with lowered head. His hooves still find purchase on the air, lifting him slowly higher. The wind whips his hair.

(( tanks :) ... guess I'm studying Shakespeare at school? Othello infact. As Iago says ... 'Hell and night, shall bring this monsterous birth to the worlds light.'))
