Only a vision?
The voice comes from behind the mare, and once you can see who is comes from it seems strange not to have noticed him. The owner is huge, a snowy stallion of such giant proportions as to tower over most. His white eyes are rimmed with sweat, and dribbles and patches of sweat cover almost all the visible parts of his body. His forelock clings to his skin in strings, and sends a spray of sweat into the air as he tosses his head. He steps forward, out from the trees and their darkly mottled shadows, lowering his head to see the newcomer. He snorts.
