Stepping up beside the palamino mare and promptly dwarfing her is a giant snowy stallion, bleak white eyes gazing through a tumbled white forelock down at the newcomer.
Welcome ... to the valley ... i assume you wish to join my herd?
He enquires mildly, his rumbling voice tempered with curiousity and wearyness in equal measures.
You're welcome to join, if so.

He pauses, mumbling something unintelligable to himself, then becomes aware of the mare beside him. He lowers his great head to her and stares blankly, nostrils flaring as he draws her scent into his lungs.
Serenade.
He addresses her with a strong tone of disbelief.

He looks up at the newcomer, a brief smile warming his expression, then back down to Serenade. He nudges her with his great bristled muzzle, snorts softly, then whuffs at her scent again. His breath hot and grassy-scented. Long white lashes flutter over his pale eyes as he blinks hard.
You came back. To me. Did you? Did you remember me? he questions her abruptly, his voice deep and hoarse, his gaze burning into her.
