To say that means you missed half the point of why the authors wrote the new testiment. It was to prove that Jesus is the messiah prophesied in the old testiment.

Actually, I think this objective is how much of the silly stuff in the bible came from. Starting with family tree of Jesus to David. If you actually read it, Jesus isn't really a descendant of David. I forget how it works, I'm sure you know.
