Subject: Review Doctor Who: The Genocide Machine

"The library on Kar-Charrat is one of the wonders of the Universe. It is also hidden from all but a few select species. The Doctor and Ace discover that the librarians have found a new way of storing data - a wetworks facility - but the machine has attracted unwanted attention, and the Doctor soon finds himself pitted against his oldest and deadliest enemies - the Daleks! "

So the story goes - or at least, so the story is explained on the back cover of this audio story. But, as I have also mentioned before, something is missing or lacking in the 7th Doctor audio stories I've listened to. This story is the only full 7th Doctor I've heard, but I've heard the complaints about the other ones that have been done. The spirit, the power of the 7th Doctor has been lost. The story is somewhat like "Planet of the Daleks" with the Doctor and Ace -- there are some interesting moments, but the relationship between the Doctor and Ace.. is just not so interesting in this story, and overall, one barely finds a reason to care for any of the other characters. The story gets from me a C -- it's ok to listen to, just not as good as it should be. A disapointment.
