Ironically enough, I sat down at the computer today with only two things in mind - one was seeing what people were saying here and the other was checking out a website I heard about on the radio - www.moonhoax.com

I quickly checked out the site - it seems to be an ad/promo site for a video you can buy for $19.95, but its a place to start in your research. Some of his "discoveries" include the "revelation" that former Nazis were involved in the US rocket program (Shocking! - a fact revealed in millions of high school history textbooks around the world!) And - some of the local yokels were Klansmen around Cape Canaveral (even more shocking - racists in the Deep South in the sixties and the seventies!) What do these facts have to do with the faking of the moon shots? I don't know...

As for your concern with the rocket, quoted here:

Really, think about it...how come it has been proven impossible to have a rocket take off, land vertically and then, take off again. This was experimented in 1996 and the the Delta rocket DC-X fell over and exploded on landing. Nasa is still trying to find a team that can figure out how to make that work, but don't you find it weird that they managed to do this 27 years ago on the moon. Strange(?)!

You may be under the mistaken impression that they actually landed a rocket on the moon. The astronauts landed something called a "lunar lander" (click here to see a picture of one from the www.moonhoax.com website.) The lunar lander had a very squat base and multiple rockets attached around the edge (you can see some firing off on the photo). The lunar lander is much lighter than a rocket and the landing gear and bottom half were left behind on the moon.

I've found such arguments interesting in the past. i hate to see your argument de-railed so quickly by your debate opponent. Focus instead on radiation poisoning and quirky lunar photographs, including some that were obviously doctored. Those topics have been the most interesting and persuasive for me, although I remain, at this time, unconvinced.
