Having spent a delightful childhood on a huge grape vineyard in southern California, the Spanish girl had often met workers of her own country- Mexico. Many members of her own family worked on the sprawling plantation, though extra help be needed during the time of harvest and the times of frost. As her own "tribe" had done many, many generations ago, the migrant workers had passed over the border to work in exchange for the American dollar.
The accent of the girl before her, Zanetta, puzzled her a bit, though from her looks it be clear she's of the latin heritage. Catalina could narrow it down to the South American countries, but could not pinpoint the actual location.
A quizzical look of honest curiosity weaves through her honey-hued expression, the traces of a beautiful smile still on the freshman's full lips. While tucking another lock of healthy ebony behind her ear, her accent'd voice lingers on the eerie silence of the building. "You're accent is of the Spanish people, though not the specific dialect of mine. Where are you from?"
A trivial question, but trivial information would have to be exchanged before any type of acquaintance could melt into friendship.
