She remained huddled near one of the walls, however, like most of the geeks, freaks, and shy people of the good ol' high school days... Perfectly curved nails that were lacquered a pale gray ran over the walls, while blue-gray depths skimmed over the classroom doors, over the numbers that were standing out in stark relief against the doors. Choir... Why had she signed up for it? Well, her parents had made her. That was a good reason, of course. But she didn't have to, that was for sure. She was well over eighteen. Two years. But she still let anyone who wanted to rule her life... No backbone. Murmuring silent regret, she slid to a halt, resting her back against the cool wall while she closed her eyes. "Damn."
