A shrill shriek pierces the air, and she whirls around, drawing a blade from her belt. The creature slams into her, and she goes sailing into the air and hits the wall. She stops breathing, an old technique, and the creature moves closer, its putried breath almost making her cringe. When it is close enough, she moves fast and jams her blade into it's neck. It shrieks and flails wildly, but she jumps on its back and sinks another dagger into it's head. Hopping off quickly, she runs to the far corner and starts searching for any sign of the quest-object. Still thrashing, the creature connects its paw with her head and she goes flying again. Suddenly, Crow flies into room and shoots tiny little arrows at the creature, which ironically seem to cause it great pain. Grace rubs at a bruise forming at the back of her head and continues her search for the ring. The creature falls down with a sickening thud, and she turns to look at Crow.
"Told you it'd be all right," he grins sheepishly. She smiles and walks over to another door she had found.
"I hope that this time it isn't as bad," she says as she pushes the door open.
