Eavan tucked the gem away into a little pocket for safe-keeping, then stood.
She looked around the Chamber, hoping for a chance glimpse of a friendly face, but she didn't see one. Well - that was no great loss... not when she'd just been greeted by a woman who seemed to set aside her animosity to cheer up a lonely little girl.

Had she that effect on people? Maybe so - and maybe it was just that she and that woman were alike in many ways.

At any rate, sitting here in this empty chamber was doing her no good, and - with her spirits greatly lifted - she strolled from the Meeting Chamber in search of a populated cavern.

If she didn't have any friends, she could certainly make some!
