SUPERMAN

Suddenly the days seem to pass by slowly
and as the weeks begin to slide by,
you may begin to wonder why God choose Superman
to be the one to die.

Understand now that he is in a better place
safe from anymore harm,
even though you wish you could see
just one more time, a football in his arm.

Pride is what he always seemed to have
whe he put his heart into the game,
praying for what could be a win
and perhaps even gaining a little more fame.

Everyone is trying so hard to hold on so tight
not ever wanting to let go,
with a question in their mind,
"How can this be so?"

Remembering all the memories you can
is a good thing to concentrate on now,
only wishing he could of made more
some way, some how?

Many visions of the future begin to shine
through the clouds and the sun's bright light,
and of course we know he is there with us,
just only out of sight.

And don't worry too much
because eventually one day,
we will all get to see him
when God takes us all his way.

Now looking back is tough,
recalling his tragic death,
you can only help but wonder, what Superman
was thinking, when he took his last breath.

This poem was written by me in memory of Eric. He was a wonderful person and touched so many lives.
