Well Eric...it's been just over 4 months and not a day goes by without your name being mentioned. I walk by your locker every day on my way to 5th hour, and I smile...remembering your smile. You could light up the hallways. And that's not an easy thing to do!
We had our class retreats this past Friday and something hit me. We were in our groups, asking questions. One of the questions was..."How do you want people to remember you after you die?" Only one thing came into my mind...I want to be like Eric. I don't want to be forgotten, or remembered for the bad things I've done. I want people to miss me, and I want to know that I've made a difference in my classmates', schoolmates', and my family's lives.
Even though I didn't know you as well as others, and even though you were younger than me...you are my role model. I agree w/ Lori and Nici Cornwell...forget be like Mike. I want to be like Eric Weiman.
Your memory lives forever in QND and in each of our hearts. Thank you for being you. And thank you to Kelly and Larry for sharing Eric with all of us.
