Thank you for your email, and my heart goes out to you John. And a blessing goes out to your son. May he be inspired from within to make different choices that promote happiness and health.

I know how painful this one can be, but sometimes people choose different options from your own. And although its often heart wrenching and painful to see the ones you love make such dire choices in life (knowing that your guidance would be useful) know that they themselves have to WANT your help. You cant help someone unless they are ready and willing to make changes in their lives for themselves. The choices they make in life are their own personal teachings, and the best you can do is always make it known that your care and are there for them when they are ready to change. You don't have to feel guilty for his choices, just support him for when he needs you.

As for your need of him, its nice to have company but you dont have to rely on others, because every time you do, when they are not around you will find that you lose energy. Like there's a hole that needs to be filled. Set yourself and also others free, love is not about ownership, its about acceptance and freedom. You really do have this strength to cope with anything! because spirit doesn't put any challenge before you that you cant cope with. Look after yourself, your worth it. I hope things go well for you both, and that which ever way if works out, that you and he finds happiness, change, transformation, integration and balance. Lov kieron
