Subject: Hat/Fall Fishing

Fished Hat and Fall on 6/19 and 6/20.

Hat fishing was excellent with typical patterns for this time of year. Lots of fish can be caught all throughout the day for those who are willing to explore all areas of Hat. Large fish (18-22") are still around and can be caught. Morning nymphing with caddis/mayfly patterns. Morning hatches of PMD's, then rusty spinners as well as trico's rounded out the dry fly action. Evening fishing was similar to the morning pattern with the addition of LYS's and Caddis in late evening.

Fall River was also terrific. Lots of fish are podding up and some very large fish are cooperating by taking a well presented fly. Mainly PMD's and then rusty spinners throughout the day with nymphing or leeches during a lull in the hatch.
