Hello there

This is intended as a "Welcome" message for the new Obscure Chatter forum, a discussion area set up for myself and my friends, courtesy of Voyager Information Systems.

There are a couple of things I would like to say before we begin, about how we to use this service.

The standard terms and conditions for operating the forum, viewable at http://www.voy.com/agreement.html states (among a great many other things - it's worth reading if you are curious)

"you may not post sexually oriented or adult material, nor may you post warez or software in any form including but not limited to raw, encoded, or encrypted data. Furthermore, posts must not include any data other than plain text or HTML code".

Fair enough, I go along with that.

I'd actually like to go a bit further - please do not assume that all users of this forum will be adults, and restrict your language and subject matter accordingly. This will be monitored and enforced - I can remove offensive messages and stop further access from anyone who posts them. That way we can have some fun with this without having to exclude the kids.

Initially the only people aware of the existence of Obscure Chatter will be those who receive this e-mail direct from me, as the forum is set up as "private" which means you can only go there if you already know it's there.

This is not intended to mean that the only people allowed in there were invited by me, so please feel free to invite your friends in too. I would appreciate it if you would be kind enough to also send them a copy of this e-mail to introduce them, as it were.

And on the subject of introductions, wouldn't it be nice if we all left a brief message to introduce ourselves to each other? Something to think about perhaps.

Right then, now you know it's there, what happens now is up to you :)
