Spoke with Morris Marina this AM. Cabins on the island held up except for some minor shingle loss. The feeling is that the storm actually helped rebuild the beach after the massive errosion from Dennis. New inlet is approx. 300 yds. wide and about 8 ft. deep. It cuts off the lower 3 miles of the south end. Was informed that another inlet was cut through roughly the same location during Capt. Don's lifetime. Feeling is that this new inlet will eventually close as the other one did years ago. Any new info will be posted.
