Rita -

I hear your outrage over home boarding vs pet sitting but remember one thing: most of those clients would kennel rather than have a sitter over. Call it silly, but I also speak with some callers who are indignant about NOT having anyone in their home. Rather than take it personally I acknowledge the fact that some will never warm up to it...that is fine! There are more than enough pet ownwers who will pay and love the individualized care we offer.

We get tons of tourist who ONLY travel with their pets. Now one might say I should blast them with the facts about leaving their pets at home with a sitter but that is pointless...they will bring them.
I also have many clients who travel here although they are use to having a sitter in their town but do not want to leave their pets for a month so they bring them and hire us on the way. I love that.

So, it can benefit us all if we are flexible whether that be with boarding a pet or so here and there or visiting a hotel. Recognize the diverse community of people we can cater to and our reputations will benefit.

Dee
