A pageant is open to speculation if it can't substantiate their opinion. Tell me that the dress I chose for my daughter is the wrong style, color, or fit. Although I can disagree, I can't change a judge's opinion. There was a pageant my DD did not win a title, but at least I know why... because of score sheets! I am not the type of person to bash a pageant just because my DD didn't win. I will take her back to the pageant she placed second runner-up and try again.
