Joss Whedon *did* ask Eliza Dushku and SMG to play up the chemistry, and deliberately played on the subtext between the two. Joss is very dedicated to his fans, and talks to them on the internet rather a lot. :o)

Giles will have his own spin off here in England called 'The Watcher'. He'll be quietly solving ghost stories, and it will have a much more relaxed feel than Buffy and Angel.
