I think the problem arises from bookers giving into certain wrestlers demands. The idea of main eventers jobbing to mid-carders is the way that it should be, simply to keep things fresh. People like The Undertaker & Austin got where they are because other wrestlers put them over and they have to do the same. During Jerichos tenure as champion how many clean victories did he have against other main eventers ?? By the time it came to Wrestlemania there was no doubt in anyones mind that Triple H would win. Jericho should have had clean wins on Raw & Smackdown to give the impression that he posed a real threat to Triple H and was a worthy champ.
You'd think that after the acquisition of WCW there'd be no room for wrestlers throwing 'diva fits' and demanding there own way as there's no real alternative employer for them. Yet what's the latest big story ?? Austin spitting his dummy out over his match at Wrestlemania. WWF management should put their foot down, it's not like there's a shortage of talent out there.
