 Personally I like to train them up to all they can be (very military, I know, but it's true). Starting them out or rehibilitating them is so much more fun and also builds trust (with real horses). Just getting them because they have high stats isn't necessarily the right thing to do. I'd rather have a life long friend in a horse that isn't the best looking and not the highest level than have a horse for just saying "Look at what I got! He/she won this and this and this . . . ". It's about loving the horse, and giving it a good home (not that the people who go for the higher stats don't).
