Apparently you didn't follow Johnny Depp in the early 90's when he dated Winona Rider & supermodel Kate Moss. His private life was talked about heavily back then. His movies also to make hardly any money until he sold out & started doing this Disney POTC garbage in the 2000's

And the reason Johnny Depp is "known for his work only" is because his girlfriend is a French singer/model who no one in America cares about or knows. If he dated an equally famous woman his private life would be talked about like Brad's is.
