Hey there, sorry i have been MIA, obviously if there was something exciting to report from that furniture unveiling last week, i would've bounced in here all aglow from basking in Brad's presence. But alas, that was not to be :( He was stuck in London doing reshoots for World War Z, so couldn't make it. It was funny, the minute that furniture designer guy mentioned that he wasn't going to be there, half the people in the room lost interest and politely trickled out within the next 15 mins after the presentation. My hubby was laughing so hard about that part. But he was actually really bummed for me, when we were walking there, i was actually starting to get really nervous because i thought he was really going to show up, like my heart was racing, it was the weirdest thing. And my hubby was totally supportive of my excitement and when he saw how disappointed i was that he wasn't going to be there, he told me that i looked great and that Brad would've been lucky to meet ME. He also said "I can be your Brad Pitt for the night" but the truth is, he already is ;))) What a guy, that's why i married him!! heheHey buddy,
But i did talk at length to his furniture designer partner Frank Pollaro, who was a really nice and approachable guy. But as you can imagine, the stuff is beyond expensive, he had prices on everything and guess how much Brad's bed is: $174,000!!!!! Not even kidding, my jaw dropped. There's also a really cool soaking tub for 2, carved out of a huge block of carrera marble that goes for a cool little $154,000 (they like those number 4s on the end, what the heck is up with that?) I have been an interior designer for nearly 10 years now and i have NEVER seen these kind of figures on a single piece of furniture like that before. But as it turns out, it's not just because it has Brad's name attached to it, i mean that probably adds 10 or 20 grand to it, sure, but there were tons of things there from the guy's regular line and they were not cheap either. He clearly caters to the extremely wealthy, creme de la creme clientele, and i just dont have clients like that. But i got his card, ya never know :)

There was a celebrity sighting there after all: Brad's old time friend actress Catherine Keener was there. Boy, time has not been kind to her, she looks pretty old in person. She is close to Brad's age and it def shows, poor thing. But i commend her for not getting all Botoxed up like everyone else in Tinseltown. She was really quiet and unassuming, i dont think anyone but me even recognized her, i have a remarkable memory for faces though

So that's pretty much it, i took some pics of the furniture, there is a great shot of me in that white chair you really liked (the space age-y one that i didnt care too much for when i first saw it, but i must admit it looked a lot better in person than in pictures and was surprisingly extremely comfortable!) Can email you some of the pics from the event if you want, let me know.

Right as we were about to leave, we got side blocked by some very eccentric lady who talked to us at length about Judaism and some other religions (you wouldn't have liked her, Gina, she kept saying how she thinks Christianity is a fake religion! LOL) Then she said that we must have kids and soon, which made both me and hubby pretty uncomfortable. She was just a total character, i think she was drunk or on something :) She was hitting on every waiter and bartender (granted they were all pretty good looking) But she was the one that dragged me to Frank Pollaro, interrupted whatever conversation he was having and introduced me to him so i cant be too harsh on her, i wouldn't have come up to him myself haha And afterwards, when we finally lost her, me and my hubby went home, ordered some Thai food and had some wine (aside from all the free wine and h'ors d'ouvres at the event) All in all, i dont regret going, even if Brad eluded me yet again :P

The end :)

Myst
