Is There Any Strong Evidence?????

Hello...

Just call me Miss Secret. I am a newly baptized as a member of Latter Day Saints. The Elders told me that I should follow what I feel and I should ignore all the history of the Roman Catholic Church. At first, I don't want to be baptized because it confuse me about the restoration. I kept asking the elder that why does the Catholic Church apostasized? They just said, they apostasized in the second century. The Book Of Mormon and the Bible are related, they told me. I got more confuse because in the Roman Catholic Church have successors from Saint peter up to the presence Pope name John Paul for almost 2000 years ago and Joseph Smith restored the church for 1830. Deep within my heart, I would like to be baptized but, in my mind... I was basing in the history. Elders told me to follow what I feel so, I did follow what I feel and I am now a newly member of a Latter Day Saints. Now, even if I am now a member, I would like to know about the apostasy of the Roman Catholic Church. Will you help me? They are apostasy in the Roman Catholic Church in the second century, is there any strong evidence that the Roman Catholic Church have really apostasized the church? Is there any strong evidence that Saint Peter did not really have the successors? Is there any strong evidence that there are no early christian writers? Is there any STRONG EVIDENCE? :-(
