Indeed if I were to become Queen, I should know everyone, but my Lord, what is the position of Queen without the understanding of how those around her live? How should one govern what one does not know of? Time is precious my Lord, and we have much of it. Meeting and getting to know other takes the time we have been given with life, and a rushed job is not one at all, for t'is the deeper thoughts that count for more than haste.

She sighs and looks away, smiling and then back at him, shifting her weight.

I'm sorry, I got somewhat carried away. It's just that I have seen many herds and their leaders, and been part of them. And if any herem is to remain intact and together, working as a team, they all need to know each other, but that can only be done with time and caution. Perhaps you do not understand, but I have seen more herds fall apart from lack of communication and understanding than you can begin to fathem.
