I blushed and helped myself up. Until I realized Harry Potter was talking to me, I was propping the desk back up to its normal stance. "Oh, yes. I'm fine. Thank you." It was all I could manage to squeak out. He seemed so calm, so. . . sweet. Not at all like I thought he'd be. Oh. Then I heard the horrendous Slytherin just rows behind me. I contained my raging anger within by clenching my fists until my knuckles were snow white. I trembled slightly while trying to regroup. I simply turned and curtly and quietly said in my mellowest tone, "Just because I am funnier than you, doesn't mean you can get jealous of it." And with that, I seated myself, carefully folding my legs indian style again. I just never seemed to learn.

I scribbled notes onto my piece of now-torn parchment, continuing to tremble lightly. My feather pen was clenched so tightly that it nearly snapped in half. Oh, no. I must be careful with this one. It's a phoenix feather. Quite lovely, if you ask me. It captured my fancy in the book store because it was blue at the bottom and faded to a reddish-white color at the tips. My right hand drummed on the table while my left hand continued to make the quill scribble silently across my page. Oops, name. I quickly signed my name with accuracy of loops and twirls. Lovely. I loved signing my name. I had a journal full of signatures when I was trying them all out. I never could decide on one thing, that's for sure.
