.^. As the elf (elf right? I believe Aduial's an elf...) released the arrow in his direction, being as skilled as he was and granted with such quick reflexes, he turned in the direction of the elf and quickly pulled his staff out in his right hand and held it up infront of him, doing all his movements at a quick pace. He whispered unheard words and a blackish-purple light spread out of the staff, forming a straight, but tall barrier between him and the arrow. The head of his staff was the very center of this dark magic barrier and it sent forked lightning looking lights towards the outside of the barrier. As the arrow hit the magical barrier there was a loud electical sound and a large flash of white. Once everyone was able to see again, after the bright flash, the arrow was gone...

.^. He sighed, eyebrows raised. It seemed like that would be tiresome and tiring magic to work, but it was all quite easy. He tried to hold it back, but just couldn't; he broke into an evil cackle at the elf's weak attempt to hurt him.

"Tis not going to be a work of ease to kill, or to even hurt I."

.^. He laughed a few more times. He turned straight upon his horse. As infindel approached him he looked straight into her eyes, not parting his with hers, as if he were sending a curse to her through the very eye contact of them. He sighed once more, sitting and looking straight ahead into space once more.

"Do you expect a war to be fair?"

.^. It looked as if he spoke to someone unseen in the air or that he was speaking to the very sky itself, but he continued to speak to infindel.

"But very well. I s'pose I could use an actual, yet slight challenge by standing on the earth's surface rather than sitting upon the back of my beloved friend, Seregon."

.^. Not fearing that anyone else would attack him at this moment, he slowly dismounted his black horse. In his hands he no longer held a staff, but a long, narrow sword. Where had his staff gone? He couldn't that easily have stuck it into his cloak, as his staff was long and hard. No one would know but him.

.^. He placed one of his hands on his waist and the other on the hilt of his sword which looked as if he were using it as a walking stick to lean on. He sighed once more.

"So, infindel. How would you like to start? You try to kill me but no can do? Or should I just kill you and get the pain over with?"

.^. He laughed again, eyes closed as he cackled.
