As long as Axl Rose is still toiling over _Chinese Democracy_ and Trent Reznor is still working on the next NIN album, then I don't feel so bad. ;o)

The next album will be out sometime in 2005, hopefully the first half. For me, the easy part of making an album is writing the songs and the hard part is recording/producing them--that's what takes so long. I often spend a few weeks recording the main structure of a song, only to then think, "What if I tried it *this* way..." and then scrap all the weeks of work that went into things. Obviously, doing this too much results in an album that winds up taking a very long time to complete. At this point tho, the "skeletons" of all the songs are complete and it's just a matter of finishing them all up.

Believe me, I hate the fact that things are taking so long to get done. However, when I listen to what's been recorded so far, I know it's going to be a very proud moment when things are all done and the CD is in people's hands to listen to. That's a moment that is going to be worth waiting for.

Kevin
