Nothing to signify any difference? This can't be right...She opens her eyes and surges to her feet, breaking through the net as easily as if it were a spiderweb. Nearby, she sees a black shape edged in green, and focuses her attention on the silverblood next to it... ...as the black shape - Nightingale - rears, shrieking in pain and outrage, as she strikes out t'wards Montgomery. She lands with earth-shaking force, and awaits a short distance away as the steed goes up in flames, then before Unruley kills him, is immediately next to the stallion, pummeling him with her hooves, taking joy in the pounding of a silver, and of the one who had so incourteously stabbed her... A mahogany blur smashes into the Friesian mare; *Raya has intervened. Not a sound was made to announce her approach, and so her opponent is surprised, as she slams into the mare. She cheated with her pretty green magic, *Raya thinks grimly. It's only fair that I return the favor... And so as she attacks, she becomes something not quite of this world; aureole of brilliant light obscures her from view. Carved in gold like a hero's mount when the hero is doing corageous deeds, she is now, as she pounds t'wards the two blackbloods; time seems to slow down, as she slams into Nightingale, who falls with a scream of rage and pain. She backs without faltering, aureate light illuminating the scene, as she whirls, flinging her hind hooves into the mare Unruley. Again she whirls, half-rising into the air on her powerful haunches, forelimbs striking out at the mare Unruley... The trapped unicorn mare stares in awe and wonder as the filly attacks, yet finally notices that her net is weakening; however, when she starts to break free, Nightingale notices and turns away from *Raya to strengthen the net. And there on, Almase and Nightingale are involved in their own battle, Nightingale fighting to strengthen her net, Almase fighting to weaken it. And *Raya shines still, as cranium is flung heavenward; she prances in place during this move to get her mane out of her eyes, the picture of a perfect warsteed.
